This is an important and necessary investment task for the Port of Gdynia. To improve competitiveness and functionality, subsequent areas of the port are to receive consistent upgrading.
Reconstruction of the existing railway system, construction of new port-type turnouts, construction of track drainage and reconstruction of the underground infrastructure based on the submitted technical documentation, with the acquisition of the occupancy permit, preparation of revised specifications (documentation update) and acquisition of a temporary building permit, together form the subject of the tender for the completion of the task “Reconstruction of the railway and road surface with reconstruction of underground utilities in zone I of Indian Quay” announced by the Port of Gdynia.
The total length of the track to be reconstructed is approx. 1700 m. Continued investment in port infrastructure is essential for the further development and modernisation of the Port of Gdynia area. The scheduled end date of implementing the investment is Q3 2020, with the tender itself taking place as an open tender under the terms and conditions of awarding contracts at PGA SA.
"We are committed to ensuring that we maintain the highest conformity of the infrastructure we make available to our customers with their requirements, and thus remain aligned with current market requirements," commented Grzegorz Dyrmo, Vice-President of the Management Board, Director of Infrastructure and Property Management, Port of Gdynia.
