Baltic Cruise Project is an enterprise co-financed from EU funds aimed at increasing the attractiveness of the Baltic Sea region among ship-owners and tourists.
The project objective is to reach a 20-percent increase in the number of passengers on cruise ships crossing the Baltic Sea region in the next 3 years.
Programme participants include, in additional to the port and municipality of Gdynia, the largest cruise ports: Copenhagen, Elsinore/Helsingborg, Helsinki, Kalmar, Karlskrona, Klajpeda, Malmö, Oslo, Riga, Rostock, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Tallinn, Turku and Visby.
The project was active in 2004-2007.
