On 12 July 2012, at the Centre for EU Transport Projects (CEUTP) in Warsaw, representatives of Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. and CEUTP signed an agreement for funding from the Cohesion Fund for an extremely important port investment.
Neither the exceptionally long winter of 2009/2010, nor the dockers' strikes in Finland threatened the planned accomplishment of works relating to construction of the upper ramp of ro-ro stand at the Romanian Quay of the Port of Gdynia. The ribbon-cutting ceremony which symbolizes handing over to use of the new two-levelled ro-ro stand at the Port of Gdynia took place on 1st December 2010. The Stand is a part of the large investment undertaking of the Port of Gdynia Authority SA titled "Development of Port Infrastructure for Servicing Ro-Ro Vessels, with Road and Railway Access in the Port of Gdynia", for the implementation of which the Port of Gdynia Authority SA will apply for subsidies from the European Union.
On 21 June 2013 the Port of Gdynia Authority SA concluded an agreement with the Road Construction Company MTM S.A. for the execution of construction works as part of stage III of the investment “Development of the port infrastructure for handling ro-ro vessels with road and rail access in the Port of Gdynia”. It is a project co-funded out of EU funds (co-funding agreement No. POIS.07.02.00-00-018/11-00 as part of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment for 2007-2013, Priority Axis No 7 "Eco-friendly Transportation", Measure 7.2.
