Project objective
The project objective is to provide appropriate standards of securing the sea border in the Port of Gdynia by establishing a coherent security monitoring system and protecting the port area administered by Port of Gdynia Authority S.A.
A system of CCTV will be established as a result of project implementation. The system, owing to 60 cameras being installed on building walls, light towers and navigation lighting poles, covering an area of 240 hectares, will facilitate the observation of port entry gates, all port quays (especially at the interface between the ships and the quays), all entrances to the port, areas of the transshipment of hazardous cargo, and embarkation of passengers.
The project constitutes the continuation of the following projects: The extension and modernisation of the water border crossing the Ferry Base on the Helskie Quay II and the Construction of a Border Point for Veterinary Control (Phare PL.0006.05 “Border Inspection Posts").
