At the headquarters of the Port of Gdynia Authority S.A., a cooperation agreement was signed between the Port of Gdynia and the Gdynia Sports Centre, under which the Port of Gdynia will once again be the title sponsor of the Gdynia Birthday Run.
The document was signed by Piotr Gorzeński, President of the Port of Gdynia Authority S.A., and Paweł Brutel, Director of the Gdynia Sports Centre. “Cooperation with the sports community is a natural direction for us,” emphasizes Piotr Gorzeński. “The Birthday Run is not only a spectacular sporting event, but also the grand opening of the anniversary celebrations planned by the city. We are delighted to be part of this and that the Port of Gdynia is once again the title sponsor of such an initiative,” he emphasizes.
This year’s Birthday Run with the Port of Gdynia will take place on February 7-8, 2026. The start and finish lines will be located at Kościuszki Square, and the routes will take participants through the city’s representative streets. On Saturday, children, teenagers, and participants of the 1926 Run will compete, while on Sunday, the main 10 km run will take place.
It is already clear that 2026 will bring a record turnout – there are several thousand runners on the starting lists.
