The Port of Gdynia is located on the crossroads of national and international transport routes and is a perfect location suited for seaborne trade. The Kwiatkowski Flyover links the port with the Tricity Ringroad, which forms the beginning of the A1 Motorway. The planned Northern Tricity Ringroad will also provide another traffic outlet to the port.
The main investments of the Port of Gdynia in the scope of logistics services are located at the western part of the Port in the vicinity of two container terminals, i.e. Baltic Container Terminal, Gdynia Container Terminal as well as the Ferry and Ro-Ro Terminals. As a result the Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. has earmarked an area of 30 hectares for the construction of the future logistics distribution center in the western part of the Port of Gdynia. Currently, the Ferry and Ro-Ro Terminals offer regular maritime connections to Sweden, Germany and Finland. An additional and important element that increases the attractiveness of the future logistics distribution center is the location of the Port of Gdynia near two airports, the Lech Walesa International Airport in Gdańsk Rębiechowo and Gdynia Kosakowo Airport.
