Port of Gdynia Authority SA ranked high in the annual Top 100 ranking of the Dziennik Bałtycki (Baltic Daily) evaluating the economic position of the Pomeranian companies.
As every year in June, the editors of the Polish Baltic Daily evaluated the economic and financial position of enterprises in the region of Pomerania for the previous year. TOP 100 ranking is to determine the state of the Pomeranian economy by assessing the efficiency of businesses located on its territory. According to the ranking for 2014, the Port of Gdynia Authority SA reached the highest profitability in Pomerania, as the company gross return index amounted to 57.1%. Thus, the PGA SA was on the top of the list. The Port of Gdynia Authority SA achieved equally good results in terms of investments, because it took fourth place among the largest companies when it comes to the investment spending. In the classification of companies by gross profit, in contrast, PGA SA took the 7th place, and by net profit - also 7th. The Port Authority took 44th place in terms of growth in sales income dynamics.
