12:00 on 10 August of this year will be the starting time for the ceremony of embedding of a commemorative plaque at the only Passenger Ships Ally in Poland, located at the Pomeranian Quay at the Port of Gdynia.
Msy Wind Surf is a very characteristic passenger vessel, 187.2 meters long, 20 meters wide, draught of 5.2 meters and seven decks. The ship was built in 1990 at a French shipyard Ateliers et chantiers du Havre as Club Med I – a sea alternative for French tourists. In 1998 the vessel was renamed La Fayette, and then Wind Surf. The additional propulsion of the ship consists of seven computer-controlled sails with a total area of 2,400 square meters. The luxury tall ship is distinguished by five masts, each of them 50 meters high. 310 passengers and approx. 190 crew members can be on the ship at the same time.
