On 16 May this year in Palanga, Lithuania, the EU Monitoring Committee consisting of member and partner countries (i.e. Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) selected nine projects to be co-financed from the European Union funds within the Interreg South Baltic Programme 2014-2020.
On Friday, 17th May at 10:00am, ships of the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 (SNMCMG-1), will enter the Port of Gdynia, a dual-purpose port. Visitors will be able to see them until 20th May, 10:00am.
Historical Three-Master Le Marité with its Floating Exhibition “Exotic Taste of Europe” to Call for the Second Time at the Port of Gdynia !
A historical tall ship “Le Marité” will be mooring at the Port of Gdynia from 28 April to 2 May, with an onboard photo exhibition sponsored by the EU, called “Exotic Taste of Europe”. The ship and the exhibition will be available for visitors every day 9.00am to 6.00pm, free of charge. Come and see it!
2018 was a record-breaking year in the history of the Port of Gdynia – as much as 23.5 million tons of cargo were handled in total. The first quarter of 2019 continued the boom, handling 14% more of goods in comparison to the first quarter of 2018. The increase in cargo handling from January to March this year made the Port of Gdynia the current leader among Polish ports in the Baltic Sea region.
This year’s season of passenger cruisers at the Port of Gdynia will be opened on 24 April by a ship already know to the quays of Gdynia, the MSC Poesia flying the Panama flag. It will be one of the three calls of this 293.8 meters long vessel at the Port of Gdynia we hosted for the first time in 2013.
