The project was primarily enclosed into the indicative project list (MP 30/2008 no. 269, dated 06.03.2008) for Operational Programme - Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013, Priority Axis no. VII Environment-friendly transport, Activity no. 7.2 Development of Maritime Transport, position number 123.

On November 30th, in Warsaw headquarter of The Centre for EU Transport Projects, CEUTP and Port of Gdynia Authority SA representatives signed the project "Reconstruction of the Port Channel in the Port of Gdynia" co-financing agrement No: POIS.07.02.00-00-004/09-00.

The total project value including VAT amounts to more than PLN 95 million. The project is co-financed by the European Union Cohesion Fund in the amount of PLN 53.73 mln . The difference between the amount of subsidy compensation and the value of the total project will be covered entirely by the beneficiary - Port of Gdynia Authority SA, as its own contribution.
