A year after signing a long-term lease agreement between Rolls-Royce Marine Poland Sp. z o.o. and the Port of Gdynia Authority SA , the Rolls-Royce Marine Service Centre will be officially opened. On 10 June this year, the Under Secretary of State for Maritime Affairs in the Ministry of Infrastructure – Mrs Anna Wypych-Namiotko – cut the ribbon at the new facility located in the Port of Gdynia at Kontenerowa 8. During the ceremony it was also announced that the company had changed its name to Rolls-Royce Poland.
The ship works built by Rolls-Royce Marine Poland Sp. z o.o., approximately 2,000 square metres in size, will provide repair services and advisory services on maintenance. As a result of its activity in the ship repair and maintenance industry, the Rolls-Royce Marine Service Centre, located within the area managed by the Port of Gdynia Authority, will attract foreign investors, thus increasing the importance of the Port of Gdynia, both through business contacts and the creation of local job vacancies.
