Best employer distincion for ZMPG-a


The Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. received another award, and this time it is the distinction in the competition "Pomorski Pracodawca Roku 2010" ("Pomeranian Employer of the Year 2010"). The "Pomeranian Employer of the Year" awards were handed out for the first time. The organizer of the "Pracodawcy Pomorza" ("Pomeranian Employers") competition is an organization that nowadays associates around 600 companies of various profiles of activities, various forms of ownership and size operation on the Pomeranian area.
The Pomeranian entrepreneurs chose the best employers of our region. The main aim of the "Pomeranian Employer of the year" competition is the promotion of enterprise and dynamic economic growth of the Pomeranian province. The initiative promotes those employers whose activities have a positive impact on the economic development of the region. Employees' friendly employers are also being awarded. All the companies could take part in the competition irrespective of their membership to the entrepreneurs' organization.
There are three categories of awards depending on the size of the company. Within the category of businesses employing up to 50 people the winner was the company Elewacje SA. Within the category of 50 to 250 workers, the award was handed to Gdańskie Inwestycje Komunalne (Municipal Investments of Gdańsk), and in the category of companies employing over 250 people, the award went to Pomorska Spółka Gazownictwa (Pomeranian Gas Company).
The Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. was awarded a distinction in the category: large enterprise. The "Pomorski Pracodawca Roku 2010" ("Pomeranian Employer of the year 2010") is the next distinction awarded to the Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. this year. On 10th of February, during the special session of the Gdynia City Council, that took place at the Musical Theatre, the Chairman of the Board - Janusz Jarosiński -received the prestigious award "Czas Gdyni ("The Time of Gdynia") for the two-level terminal for handling ro-ro vessels.
