Bigos (Hunter's Stew)
A savory stew of sauerkraut, cabbage and meat. Typical ingredients include white cabbage (sauerkraut, kapusta kiszona in Polish), various cuts of meat and sausages, often whole or puréed tomatoes, honey and mushrooms.
Gołąbki
Gołąbki is a hearty traditional Polish dish consisting of boiled cabbage leaves stuffed with ground beef, chopped onions, and rice, baked in a spicy tomato sauce; similar to a Cabbage roll.
Pierogi
Pierogi are semi-circular dumplings of unleavened dough, stuffed with sauerkraut, twaróg, mashed potatoes, cabbage, onion, meat, hard-boiled eggs, or any combination thereof, or with a fruit filling.
