SEBTrans - Link Project: Modern Ferry terminal in the Eastern Port in Gdynia as an important link in the North - South VI Transport Corridor.
The primary aim is to prepare development plans and concepts (feasibility studies) for the construction of a new Ferry Terminal in the Eastern Port in Gdynia (Fi?skie/Polskie Quays).The project also aims to conduct a road and communication network analyses for the new Terminal together with an investment programme, time-table for implementation and cost estimates. Crossborder Co-operation The project will facilitate strengthening of cross-border co-operation in the South Baltic Sea Region, especially between Poland and Sweden, Lithuania and Kaliningrad Region through the exchange of information. This will mainly include forecast of cargo and passenger flows and transport infrastructure development plans. The project will identify bottlenecks in the transport systems of the EuroRegion Baltic in the framework of VI Transport Corridor and find ways to eliminate these bottlenecks Moreover, this project forms an integral part of the main Interreg-financed SEBTRANS-Link Project, which is implemented by the Lead Partner, Vaxjo Kommun in Sweden. Other partners to this project are Lithuania and Kaliningrad Region of Russia. |
