The purpose of the project

The purpose of this project is to ensure implementation the appropriate sea border protection standards in the Port of Gdynia through construction an coherent security monitoring system of the port area administered by the Port of Gdynia Authority S.A.

The subject of the project is construction a surveillance television system in the Port of Gdynia including 60 cameras, installed in the area of 240 hectares, on the walls of the buildings, on the lighting towers and on the lighting navigational mass to observe the port gates, all port berths (in particular the points of contact between a ship and a berth), the ships' enter gateway, the places of dangerous cargo loading and re-loading and the places of passenger ships embarkation.

This project is a subsequent phase of adapting the sea border crossing point in the Port of Gdynia to the Schengen requirements, after already finished investments of Port of Gdynia Authority S.A. which are as follows: enlargement and modernisation of the border crossing point at a Ferry Terminal at Helskie II Quay (with public co-funding) and building the Border Point of Veterinary Control (PharePL.0006.05 "Border Control").
